When I try to change the size of these images to make them legible, they just get blurry.

Hey Scott,
You are using a retired theme, titan. Please correct me if I’m wrong. You should have an option to choose the image size while adding it in a post.
If you’re using the new wordpress editor, first go to post editor and you need to click on the image block. And at the sidebar, you will have option to choose the image size. Please keep in mind that, if you image is larger than the content area, the maximum width of the image will be capped at width of your content area. You can try using a theme with wider area if you want.
Personally, I would suggest you to split the images in smaller chunks. Cheers!

Hi there,
This is happening because the version of the image in your post isn’t the full-size version – when you insert an image into your post at a smaller size, we actually serve a resized version of the image, and if you try to enlarge that by zooming in your browser, it will be blurry. So this is expected.
So you’ll need to either insert those images at full size, or else link the image to the original image file, as you’re doing at the moment. That way someone can click the image to view the full-size version in its own browser tab.

I never saw an image size option other than just to pull on it to make it bigger, which just made it illegible.

Other image size settings are in the right column, https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/image-block/#resize-images
