  I’m trying to start a professional blog site. Is there a way to make money off of your platform? Such as from advertising?

  Hi @katrussell, sure. You can use these ad options on WordPress.com:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/advertising/

  I’d recommend starting the site and building and audience, then look at adding advertisements when you’ve got some regular traffic. And this article explains how to build that:
