Hello everyone,
Im new to wordpress. There are few things that I can’t understand even after reading in the FAQ/support. Free blogs( with wordpress domain like XXX.wordpress.com) can do advertising or anything.Can’t run ads,links,reviews.. ? Is that true ?
But what can free hosted blog do to earn money ?

So there is no any way to make money on a free blog?
Even reviews or anything ?
Self hosting is not free? And it requires technical knowledge & time.

While most affiliate links and sponsored posts are allowed on WordPress.com, we do not allow image ads or third-party advertising networks like Google AdSense, OpenX, Lijit, BuySellAds, and Vibrant Media.
Read those links.
So, text links in reviews are allowed, as long as you are writing original content and the primary purpose of your content is not to drive traffic to 3rd party sites.

But do wordpress take 50% of the money that we get from reviews/sponsors if we have a free blog?

To the best of my knowledge, the only revenue sharing program here is the WordAds program, which you would need to apply for and be accepted. One qualification is that you need to have a Custom Domain upgrade on your site in order to apply. http://wordads.co/
