making my newest post the only post on my home page

  I think this is an easy one, I just can’t figure it out. I’d like my newest post to be the only one on my home page. I use a
  lot of large photos and I’m afraid that the download time for a lot of posts may be losing me readers. What’s a newbie to do? Thanks.

  You should be able to fix this by going to Settings>Reading on your dashboard, then changing the following two items:

  Front page displays: Your latest posts
  Blog pages show at most: 1 post.

  Then be sure to click “Save Changes” at the bottom of the page.

  There are also some themes that feature the newest post very prominently, like Hemingway.

  (put your tags for a thread in the tag box at the bottom of the sidebar one at a time and click Add after each one)
