Making my site live

  I bought a domain from Go Daddy (by mistake) and didn’t like the web building tools. After taking some advise I have built my basic site in WordPress.
  How do I now transfer the domain, without losing any emails to wordpress to make my webiste live.

  We have two ways to use a domain you already own with a site here on WordPress.com:

  Mapping allows you to keep the domain registered with your current domain registrar and direct it to your WordPress.com site: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/

  A transfer would allow to manage both your site and domain from the same place: https://wordpress.com/support/move-domain/incoming-domain-transfer/

  Once the domain is here, make sure that your email is set up as desired: https://wordpress.com/support/add-email/
