making my site private

  Hi, I have discovered an old .wordpress blog that i thought was no longer viewable online, how do I make the blog private without losing the content?

  Hi,
  To hide a WordPress.com hosted site and keep the content, go to My Site > Settings. Under Privacy, select “Private” and click the “Save Settings” button.
