  HI,
  I am just new to this and I will be upgrading to your paid package as soon as my domain name is transferred. As I learn as I go can you advise me on how to make my website live /active?

  Hi there,

  I think I’m reading that you’ve purchased a domain name from another registrar and are transferring it to WordPress.com, is that correct? I believe you will need to purchase an upgraded (paid) plan in order to do so.

  You can create a website here on WordPress.com before that (as it looks like you’ve done), and once you have your domain transferred to WordPress.com, you can manage your domain starting at this page: https://wordpress.com/domains/manage
