making pages invisible in sidebar – No widget

I want to nest multiple pages under a parent page without these pages being visible in my sidebar. I don’t want to use the Pages Widget as when I tried that and sorted them by ID #, they instantly listed completely out of order. Can I change the ID numbers on the pages to reorder them?

I just want to link to pages from a parent page without those pages being visible in the sidebar. This can’t be that hard, right? I’m sure I’m missing something really simple.

    Thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you remove the widget and use a theme with a tabbed header, they won’t be visible in the sidebar. If you haven’t yet made any changes to your sidebar, just go into Appearance->Widgets and add a widget, any widget. That wipes out the default set and you can add in what you want and exclude what you don’t.
