Making Personal Headers
-
Hi guys. I’m new to this world, just joined a few days ago and the majority of the time has been me just surfing around trying to get my head wrapped around most of this stuff. One question I have…
I’m almost positive that even if you don’t have a pay account here, you can insert your own custom header for your blog (correct me if I am in fact wrong).
If in fact you can, I was wondering if there is a place on these forums where people can help the graphicly challenged, such as myself, in creating one for their blog? It would be most appreciated, and even though it probably just me that visits the site at this point, I could put your blog on my blogroll for their troubles. Thanks in advance guys and gals.

Only about half of the available themes support this, however (you can go to Design>Themes and check the tags underneath each theme thumbnail).

Or check the FAQs
http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/07/08/which-themes-can-i-add-a-header-image-to/There are a number of online editors where you can upload an image and have some fun. One of my favorites is http://bighugelabs.com/flickr/ specifically the mosaic maker.

Thanks for the quick replies guys.
Jennifer – D’oh. And I tried not to be that guy that asks a question that is answered in the FAQs. Thanks for the info. I’ll give it a crack myself, but as I said, if anybody else wants to help they are more than welcome.
Pana – I didn’t realize that they all don’t support custom headers, so thanks for pointing that out to me. I’ll have to switch from the current one I’m using, but I feel changing the theme is worth the custom header to give the blog some personality.
Jake – Thanks for offering. I should probably post my blog and what it’s about so you (or anybody else who feels up to it) can take a shot at it.

Obviously from the link, it’s called “Movies In 100 Words or Less”. Basically a satire on simplifing movies so a movie themed header would make sense. I’m leaning towards the “MistyLook” theme, which has the white background so a color scheme that would make sense with that would fit well. Thanks again everybody.
