Making posts appear in a certain page if they are a certain category

    I’m trying to make it so that all the posts I post in a certain category, don’t come up on the page that I’m gonna use for the ‘uncategorized’ posts.

    For example, I have posted a couple of philosophy essays, in a category named ‘Phil Essay’, and that is on the ‘Philosophy’ page.
    I’ve created a page called ‘General’, and that is where I want all other ‘uncategorized’ posts to go, but no other posts of any category to go there.

    Can I do this at all?

    If you just post into different “categories” then the posts will show up in those categories and on the main page as well. If you click on any category that you make, then it will only show the post from that category. The only way to get those posts off the main page would be to create a “page”. That is the static pages you can create that have content and don’t show up on the main page. Not sure if this is kind of what you are asking, but this explanation FAQ is useful for some people in organizing their content!
