  Yes, you can add a read more tag in your WordPress.com post.

  Place your cursor where you want to add the Read More Tag to appear, in your Visual Editor’s toolbar, click on the “Insert Read More tag” button. You can find the More Tag button in the first row, once you click it, you’ll see the split appear on your post.
