making some post public

  Is there a way that I can make some posts public while keeping others private? Or would the whole site need to be public, private, or hidden.

  You can change the post visibility under post settings If you want to make your post visible to everyone then make that public if you want your post visible to admin and editors then make that private(admin and editors) and if you want some user can access that post and other can’t then you can use the password protected post where you can provide password to those whom you want to see your post.
