Making sure I don't break rules!

    Hello, I’m new to blogging, but its a really exciting prospect for me, having people reading and following my life. I have just joined a new band and I think we can make it, it’s going to be one hell of a journey and I want to use a blog to tell everyone about it.

    95% to 99% of my blog will include stuff about my life, free drum lessons as well as articles I will write for the sole purpose of helping people and giving people the necessary advice to people wanting to do exactly what we are doing. Learning from my mistakes instead of their own, so to speak.

    What I’m asking about is the fact that amongst all this I also want to occasionally mention or occasionally have an article about myself and what I can offer people. For instance, I can record studio drum tracks for anyone in the world, and I am also a drum tutor, and would like to make articles about my teaching and where/when I do it for anyone interested, the occasional backlink to my site will be there too as that’s going to be growing quite a lot and I will be talking about it.

    I am aware that self promotion here is not aloud, but I also know there’s plenty of people making blogs just to SEO themselves up the list of diet plans or penis enlargement pills which is nothing like this, so I was curious as to whether the promotion I want to do is OK.

    I don’t want to tread on anyone’s toes, I see what I want to do as just talking about me and my life as this is a huge part of it, but I thought you may see it as shameless self promotion so I’m just checking.

    Thanks,
    Sam

    In a nutshell no blogger initiated advertising, retailing or reselling the work created or services provided by anyone other than yourself is allowed on free hosted wordpress.COM blogs. E-commerce transactions via shopping carts and the like cannot be conducted on free blogs from and being free hosted by wordpress.COM

    The advertising exceptions noted in support documentation are for high traffic blogs that qualify for and are accepted into the Ad Control program, and for extremely high traffic blogs that qualify and are accepted into the paid VIP hosting program.

    @sammyleehunter
    As you have linked a site that is NOT a free blog from and being free hosted by wordpress.COM please include the URL for the wordpress.COM blog in question if you do contact Staff.
