making the home page static
-
I’m using my blog more and more as a website and like the idea of having a homepage or landing page which is static and an introduction to the rest of the pages. Thats how I’ve set up my homepage
Unfortunately I cant replicate all the features of the blog page with updates and feeds and all the normal bells and whistles and have it as a secondary page (called “updates” in my case). Is there any simple way to accomplish this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello: cardetdesign, if you’re referring to this blog http://cardetdesign1.wordpress.com/ because the one linked to your name has been deleted you will need to follow these instructions to achieve what you’re asking → Front Page
If you end up with two home pages then I recommend following these instructions to fix the issue → Hide Pages

thank you!
Not only was I getting 2 home pages, whenever I deleted one or made it private the main one would return a 404 error on a Google search.
I’ve been struggling with these pages for hours but I think your response may have fixed the problem.
Again, thanks! -
