Making twenty ten wider
-
I am trying to make my blog a little wider. as of right now, the side bar is overlapping my images and it’s annoying me. I tried to make it wider with some google’ing and got the wrapper to get wider, but the content area still stays the same with the same overlapping issue.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You need to change the width here:
#access .menu-header, div.menu, #colophon, #branding, #main, #wrapper { margin:0 auto; width:1200px; }That does basically everything in one hit. I’ve changed it in the above to 1200px, which is what I saw in the container.
One note, there are still a lot of people out there using 1024 x 768 monitor resolutions, and that means they will have to scroll horizontally to see the entire page, and horizontal scrolling is #3 out of the top 10 things people dislike most on the web. You also have to consider that the largest netbooks only have a 1024px wide monitor resolution, and there are literally millions of them out there – not to mention all the smartphones.

Thank you… I only used 1200 because when I was testing with 1024 it wasn’t much wider than default so I wasn’t catching the changes…
