Making website private

  I am trying to make my live site temporarily private and when I go on to settings, under privacy there is no option other than to save settings. According to the help article it should be under that section but it isn’t for me

  Jetpack: Yes
  Correct account: Yes

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums.

  Hi @firstplatinum,

  What @amiteshg93 means is that since your site is not hosted here, the support documentation for the WordPress.com hosting platform is different than the one for the WordPress software that your site is using.

  To make your site private, you can use a plugin like WP Maintenance Mode:
