Making WordPress account private

I am the PR chair for the women’s rugby team at Boston University. A girl on the team 4 years ago published and ran the old worldpress blog, but she is long gone and we do not have her username and password for the website. We currently have a new blog, but when people try to search for the new one, the old blog comes up. This is the blog we are trying to make private: https://bostonuniversitywrfc.wordpress.com/ and here is our current blog http://blogs.bu.edu/buwrfc/ through boston university. The old blog has not been update since 2011 and since there is no way to delete it, I was wondering if it could be made private or harder to find?

PS- eperez2015 blog URL is unrelated

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there. The only person that can change the privacy settings or delete that blog is the person who created it. Your best option would be to try and contact her and ask her to transfer the site to you or remove it herself.

Alternatively you can try to claim that blog by using the account recovery form. Provide as much information as you can on the form, and then wait for the account recovery staff to contact you via email to discuss your options: http://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/#account-recovery-form
