Making wordpress.com my new registrar, please help!

  I have my domains registered over at godaddy. I don’t want to map them, I would rather transfer them to wordpress.com. How do I go about doing that? I have looked and can only find the domain mapping which I understand how to do. But no where can I find how to completely move the domain to wordpress.com as my new registrar…

  I seem to recall reading that WordPress.com does not accept domain transfers, but cannot presently find the relevant Support doc. Waiting for Staff reply as well.

  Thanks for the response :) Well, if it’snot possible, does anyone know of a registrar that is a smaller business? I’m transferring because of their involvement in the sopa act…

  I finally got my site how I like it, but oh well… :)

  For future reference: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/#transferring-a-domain-to-wordpress-com

  ICANN publishes a full list of accredited registrars here http://www.icann.org/en/registrars/accredited-list.html but that doesn’t say anything about their business practices and it’s probably best to wait for someone to give you a recommendation.

  Thank you, I already my domain pointed here before, but didn’t like the themes. But I can give a little to get a little :) I may even buy a theme this time around. At least I did one smart thing though, I made my permalinks the exact same as wordpress.com’s in case hosting my own blog ever became too much to handle and I could easily move without losing too much page rank and breaking a bunch of links in the search engines :)

  We can’t accept incoming domain transfers at WordPress.com, but you can map your domain here following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/
