Malfunctioning Oxygen theme?

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi, there! We’re using the Oxygen theme right now, and we’re having some issues. The blog looks great on the opening page, but upon clicking individual the blog posts, they stretch out all the way past the right column–they don’t seem to be contained after a certain point. We’ve tried to fix it but so far haven’t been able to. Any ideas on why this is happening?

    Hi there,

it appears that your blog posts’s text was copy-pasted from somewhere? It seems like it was the issue to me.

If you copy-pasted from Word, here’s how you do it properly to avoid formatting issues:

    Microsoft Word

I’m not sure how to fix it if it’s copied from somewhere else. An alternative is to paste the text first in a plain text editor, like Notepad, and then copying from there to WordPress’s post editor and add your own formatting (headings, etc) there.

The problem is the type of dash you used. Edit the post, select all in the Visual editor, copy, switch the editor to Text, select all, paste, then redo bold/italics/list and update.

In the future never copypaste from other sources into the Visual editor. When you need to paste, switch the editor to Text first.
