How do I block semalt.com from visiting my blog?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
You can’t unfortunately. Many many people have reported these spam clicks, but so far WP.com won’t even ban them from showing in the stats.

Thank you. I came across a discussion where someone put a line in their code that can block it, but I don’t have a clue how to do that or even where to find the code! This person claimed that you can block any IP address this way.
-
Unfortunately I don’t believe semalt uses a single IP. You can’t use that code at WordPress.com anyway, since you don’t have access to the actual code of your blog.

Please see the thread below to learn how to block Semalt or other referrers in your stats:

@jackiedana I’d like to suggest/request that WP announce new features/changes like this in the WP newsletter to bloggers. I’m probably not the only one who thinks the forums are here only to answer questions and solve problems, not to announce or explain new features. I have a lot of readers who never visit the forums or didn’t even know they existed until I mentioned it.
