    3. How to add Google map in my site?

  • 1. Thanks, can i know the map that shows people around the world visiting my site in real time with light blinking across the globe?

We don’t have a feature like that on WordPress.com, and the outside widgets that do that usually uses code that won’t work here, but I do know of one option that should work:

    https://clustrmaps.com/

Please note that you can only use the Map Widget, not the globe one. You also need to use the second widget code they give:

    https://cloudup.com/cxYT9ld-bef

Add that to a page or a text widget on your site and it should work. I can’t guarantee it, though.

    2. Can i add call button?
i cannot add plugging, can i?

You mean to start a skype call or a phone call like on Facebook? That’s not possible on WordPress.com, no.

    3. How to add Google map in my site?

You can find our instructions for Google Maps here:

    Noted with thanks.

Hi greatly appreciated if you can enlighten me on what is WordPress doing about internet security threat? Hope i can relate this information to visitors to my site, when necessary.

    Thanks!

  • I’m not sure what you mean with “internet security threat”.

All sites on WordPress.com are served over https, so you and your site visitor’s data is encrypted when they visit your site. Is that what you mean?

    HTTPS

Hi how can i remove the grey coloured text of my username and email from the text box of form? i have a few sites, and these sites are not related to one another. i do not want these username and email address appearing in all forms. Please help.

  • The username and email on the contact form is auto-filled because you are logged into your account associated with that username and email. Someone else looking at the form on your site will see their own details there. If you view the form while logged out or with an incognito window in Chrome you’ll see no details pre-filled.

There is no way to prevent the form from being pre-filled if you view it while logged in – that is how the form is designed to work. If you want to enter a different username or email, you need to delete the pre-filled content and then type the new.

Is there a way to use poll, or please advise?

  • I don’t think a poll will work for this, as there’s no way to close an answer on a poll once someone has selected it, so others will still be able to select the same slots.

For something like this I’d rather recommend a third-party tool like Calendly:

    https://calendly.com/

You’ll need to link to your schedule on that site from your WordPress.com site – it’s not possible to embed calendly directly on WordPress.com.

Or you can use a theme like our P2 theme which supports checklists. Then you can create a checklist on a post or page and people can check off slots. Note, this is only possible in the P2 theme, and not on any other theme on WordPress.com:

    https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/p2-breathe/

Thanks, i think i would explore further on the Calendly.

For post that come with password activated, does it work only for one post only? i tried 2nd post, the password feature doesn’t seem to work.

Recently, i found my drafts gone. WordPress is behaving a bit slow in processing. not showing stats too. Please advise. Thanks.

  • Password protection is per-post only, yes, so you need to set a password for every post you want protected separately.

What do you mean your drafts gone? I see 11 draft posts on your site. To access them, go to My Site ->Blog Posts, and there should be a latest drafts section on the right, and a Drafts button in the page menu. If you don’t see either, try resizing your browser window.

Your stats show fine to me and WordPress.com is fast even on my slow internet connection, so this is likely a problem with your browser or connection, rather than with the website. Please clear your browser cache and cookies and unplug your modem/router for a few seconds to reset it.

Also try disabling any ad-blocker and anti-malware extensions, as those often work by just blocking all JavaScript on a page. Most of WordPress.com runs on JavaScript, so if you block that, the site won’t work as it’s supposed to.

Password works now for 2nd password protected post.
    Drafts are intact now.
    Stats are ok now.

Probably, problem with the browser or connection. Thanks for replying.

  • Thanks for letting me know :)
