Malware? Cannot remove comment

Help! Earlier this week someone posted a comment on my blog that has no content and does not seem to appear anywhere except under “pending comments” in my dashboard.
Selecting “move to trash” or “move to spam” has no effect in removing this comment from “pending comments”. Therefore I have been unable to move or delete it. The commenter name is “anonymous” and the only identifying feature is that the gravatar is called “gravatarmysteryman”.
I am concerned that this may be malware since it cannot be removed. What should I do?
