Malware pop-up on my blog

    When people are visiting my blog through the mobile site (I am not sure about through the desktop) they are receiving a pop-up – “Dear Colton iPhone user…” claiming they have been selected to win a $1000 gift card.

    I have immediately changed my password and set up the two-step authentication. However, the pop-up is still appearing when people visit the blog – how can I fix this?

    Thanks for the report, @jessmixedreceptionyearoneideas. We saw this earlier and I believe it is resolved now, but if you or any of your viewers see it again, can you get a screenshot and let us know:

    – the exact URL where you saw the spam
    – the time (which is typically in the screenshot)
    – the IP address for the phone that got spammed (how to find it varies on the phone, but you can use whatismyip.com)

    Thanks in advance. We definitely don’t approve of advertisers using those tactics, so we’ll do all we can to get them out of our system.
