Malware Scan Please

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello,

Like some others, I had a visitor say that a screen showed up on their end that send my site was phishing or malware. http://www.thethoughtofme.blog

Could somebody please scan it to confirm the situation?

If the site is clean and my visitor needs to change their settings, I can help them with that.

Please let me know if you need any further information from me.

    Thank you

  • Hey there,

Did you recently set up your domain thethoughtofme.blog? When a domain is first purchased it may show as “dangerous” before an SSL certificate is set up. This is done automatically but can take a few hours. I am not seeing any reason to believe there is malware or phishing on your site.

    Hope this helps!

I’ve had the domain for more than a few years.

I imagine it is the visitor’s security settings on their phone. Letting me know what would cause that; or what may be adjusted on their end or mine to improve the situation is appreciated. They cannot get through at all.

    Thank you for your help

Good to know! Just to confirm, your site is secure – it’s protected by our central infrastructure since it uses the Starter (formerly called: Personal) plan and as such it wouldn’t be able to host any code that could push malware to a visitor.

Your visitor may just need to clear their device’s cache; it does sound like your visitor’s device may just have an overzealous anti-malware software!
