MAMP
-
Hi everyone.
I have a problem trying to load my local website though MAMP. When I turn the servers on I get a message that I can’t connect to the server. I have been setting up my site over the last few days with awesome results and have tried renaming and recoding stuff like on other threads etc like plugins and themes. I do have the 2 server green lights come on but then naught.
I have been going to the MAMP page from here in the past and don’t think I have changed things, just adding basic text.
This does sound similar to others issues but I do have the green lights come on.
Maybe I missed something I am not sure of….
I also learned this off a popular online video training company which was very good. But they don’t do the problems that I now of.
The only thing I haven’t tried is to reload everything. If I do would this delete what I have done on the site?
I would gratefully appreciate the help. Thanks. -
Hey there, you’ve posted your question in the forums for sites hosted on WordPressdotcom.
If you need help with a localhost install of the standalone WP software, you’ll want to head over to https://wordpress.org/support/ If you need to register a username there, you can do so on that page.
