Trying to re direct a DNS. Have referred to http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/domain-management/. This is a great instruction sheet but seems to be of no use. When on the wordpress site (logged in) I simply cannot access
Go to Upgrades->Domains in your blog’s Dashboard.
Look for Domain Administration and change the password.
Copy or write down your Customer Number.
Click the Manage Your Domains link.I am never in a position to find the above fields. It is as if I am logged in another site. can anyone advise where I am going wrong?

It almost sounds like you are not logged in with the username you purchased the upgrade with or are not the Admin of that site.

I am the administrator when I am logged in. Problem is in line I think with what you are suggesting. Are you saying that when I purchased the upgrade I was issued another user name as well as a new password? I noted a new Domain admin password, but not a new user name. In short I should have two user names and two passwords. I seem to have two passwords but only one user name (could be a case of me not seeing the new user name for what it was). If that is the case I need to find out what the user name was! Is that what I need to do and if so any idea how one does it?

Got it! Two domains, trying to re direct the pre upgrade because it had the latest name. Thank you for response.
