  Hi there, there are no monthly upgrades on WordPress.com. Plans are billed yearly or every two years.

  However, you can purchase a plan and cancel it within thirty days to receive a full refund. Note that domains are only refunded after forty eight hours. https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/
