Manage Subscriptions

I don’t own a web page but i subscribe to many crochet web sites i click follow then it comes up manage your subscriptions but not sure what that means and i have noticed that the web sites i follow i have not been getting any emails from them is that because i have not managed my subscriptions i hope you can understand what i mean many thanks from janet

Hi there,
Using your WordPress.com account to follow a site will make new posts from the site appear in the WordPress.com Reader for your account.
If you also want to receive email notifications for new posts, you need to specifically give permission for that.
You can change your account subscription settings so any new sites you follow will automatically send email notifications. You can change that default setting here:
https://wordpress.com/me/notifications/subscriptions/
For sites you’re already following, you can modify the email notification setting per site here:
https://wordpress.com/following/manage
