  I subscribed to https://staringatthefloorboards.wordpress.com/

  The renewal did not work due to an expired payment method. I am trying to renew now with an updated card but it says I am already subscribed, and I cannot access the blog.

  Please advise on how to have this subscription restored.

  What happens when you try to view the content? If you’re asked to log in and you enter your email (the one here: https://wordpress.com/me/account ) can you share what error you see?
