managing menus and links to pages

I would like to have links to pages in the menu tab. For example when I click “Tarifler (meaning Recipes)”, I would like to have “Çorbalar (Soups)” or “Salads” listed in the newly opened page which have their own links that move you to another page that contains the recipes for soups or salads. I couldn’t find how to do it.

I would also move the header image above the menu.

    my blog is http://www.karanane.wordpress.com

    Thanks in advance.

Your theme, Penscratch, doesn’t allow the header image to be placed above the menu. You might want to consider a different theme that does feature the header image above the menu. Or, you could change your header image so its dimensions are the suggested size of 937x300px. That rectangular size makes the image look more like a header image and doesn’t interfere visually with your food images in each post.

It sounds like you want the menu links to draw in new tabs in the browser, rather than drawing over the top of the page you’re already on? I don’t think this is an option – it’s just standard for the new page to draw within the same tab.

Thanks a lot. I will try changing the header dimensions and see how it looks.

I’m not sure I understood correctly the part about the menu though. When you click on a title in the menu, the page that opens is empty. I wanted to list there the sub titles and when you click on them the page that opens would show the relevant post. In its current form the visitors wont be able to find specific food according to its type. Everything is listed only in the main page.
