Managing multiple blogs' traffic.
-
I want traffic to be directed to a specific blog from my name when I comment on another blog.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Primary Blog‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.
Then every time you sign into the forum we can all click on your username and your blog will be linked to it. And every time you leave a comment on a blog your username can be likewise clicked and your blog can be instantly located.

I have it all linked and set to Take It from Meg but I think traffic is going to Car-Free.

But I want traffic going to Take It from Meg, and I’ve set it to go to Take It from Meg but it doesn’t go there.
You’re saying that once it’s been set at all it cannot be changed? So whatever blog was started first is going to get the traffic no matter what?

That’s interesting, because if I log out to test it I link to Car-Free in the Christmas City.
-
What she’s saying is, on the old comments where it went somehwere else, it won’t change.
-
No that’s not what I am saying. I said that the change of any primary blog link, which you can change as many times as you like is not retroactive. From the time you successfully change a primary blog link onward the username will be linked to the new primary blog you linked it to. All previously made comments will stay linked to the previous primary blog that the username was previously linked to.

Okay, thanks Rain. I understand that. I wasn’t expecting for that to happen.
Will you please go to http://sandstormclick.wordpress.com/2013/02/15/until-tomorow-mighty-sun/
and click on Meg in the comments. Tell me where you go. -
