Managing Protected Posts With Paid Membership?
-
I have a colleague who is using wordpress to manage a membership site.
What he is doing is selling memberships and therefore access to the password that protects the content on his site. The site is http://www.3xMethod.com
I’m curious, when you go to a protected area of the site you get a “username and login” request. How is this being done? Is it a tweak to the HTML? Because I’m having difficulties trying to figure out how to get that line to show when we protect our content on our blog.
Also, when you go to http://www.3xmethod.com/?cat=5 you can see that these are all blog posts that are protected. Is this layout possible in other themes? Or just the one he is using. On the one I’m using each blog post says “Protected” What do I do to change that to “Membership”?
Thanks for the help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This isn’t possible here on wp.com. If it’s important to you, you’ll have to look into selfhosting. http://wordpress.org
