Managing the featured image on "tagged pages"?

    Hi there,
I would like to be able to change the “featured image” on the pages that come up when you click on a given tag, (and it then displays all pages with that project tag). However I’m not sure how to reach these “tagged pages” in either the wp-admin section, or the main wordpress editor – they only exist on the website and I can’t find them in the editor…. Would anyone know how to do this?
For example, a page like this:

    https://joelalcornjewellery.wordpress.com/project-tag/pounamu/
and I would like to change the featured image.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

I would like to be able to change the “featured image” on the pages that come up when you click on a given tag

Those would be project tag archives pages. The featured image, if one is set, that displays on such archives pages is the same one that displays on the Portfolio, also known as the Portfolio Archive Page. You can see that your portfolio, https://joelalcornjewellery.wordpress.com/portfolio/, has the same featured image as the project tag archives page you linked to above.

The optional featured image for the portfolio archive page, and project tag and type archives pages, may be set at Customize > Portfolio > Portfolio Archive Featured Image. It’s not possible to set a different featured image for each project tag or type archives page. They’ll all display either no featured image, or the one displayed on the Portfolio.

They’ll all display either no featured image, or the one displayed on the Portfolio.

Let me amend that statement. If no Portfolio Archive Featured Image is set, and a site header image is set, then the site header image will display instead of the featured image on the portfolio archive page, and on each project tag and type archives page. You also have the option of displaying randomized header images (either the default “suggested” set, or others that you’ve uploaded) instead of a single site header image.
