Managing Who Can Comment
-
My blog is charlesfinney.net
Comments on my blog have to be approved if made by a new person. Once I have approved someone, they can comment anytime after that without my approval. I then have to step in and disapprove a comment of theirs if it is then inappropriate afterwards.
Two Questions:
1. If that person starts making bad comments after I have approved them, how do I unapprove them, so that whenever they make a comment they need my moderation again to comment?
2. If I delete a comment without approving it, will I still receive comments from that person, to be moderated if I wish?
Thank you.

1. There is no way to unapprove them once you have approved their first comment.
2. If someone comment and you delete the comment (and they have not been previously approved) then their comments will still appear for moderation by an admin. Not until you approve one of their comments will they then be able to comment without moderation.
You might consider setting it so that all comments are held in moderation. That way you would not have to “unapprove” inappropriate comments.

Thank you, I think that is the best option, but how do I set it so that all comments are held in moderation?
