Manifest Destiny and WordPress.com OR We Are Not All One

I just wrote and published a post called “Action for Assange”. It is the first time I have written a post called “Action for Assange” and so, imagine my suprise when it was published with the URL http://raincoaster.com/2012/03/11/action-for-assange-25/

    25????

I support Julian and Wikileaks, but not to the tune of having used the exact same title 25 times.

But you know who has, I bet? I bet on all of WordPress.com there are 25 posts called exactly that. Could this be part of the Grand Unified Plan to amalgamate WordPress.com blogs? First stats, then the Write Post function, then…all the rest of the blog?

Let me just say I am less than delighted at the prospect. Bloggers tend to be very individualistic, myself included.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Howdy, I think this was a bug on our end of things. I’m taking a look to see if I can reproduce it. Mind walking me through where you wrote the post? (Dashboard, homepage, toolbar)

Toolbar New Post button, which I’ve decided I don’t like since it doesn’t allow you to save it as a draft or add categories without publishing first, then editing. I’ll mark this as resolved, I think, since it doesn’t seem to be a nefarious Logan’s Run kind of plan.
