Manifest Theme – Hiding Site Title
-
Hello,
I have been trying to figure out how to “hide” the appearance of my site title on my homepage.
I have created a header picture that will take place of my title but I can’t seem to figure out how to “hide” the original title from showing but I don’t want to delete it completely.
Please help!
Thanks,

Hi Kristy,
If you have purchased the custom design upgrade, you can update the CSS of the theme.
Go to Appearance->Customize, then go to CSS and enter the following CSS:
#site-title{ display:none; }Here is a screenshot of the CSS customization: http://screencast.com/t/vU8YjvVN

Is it not possible if I haven’t purchased the custom design upgrade?
I haven’t purchased it yet and didn’t know if it was something I really required…

Kristy,
I’m afraid the only alternative would be for you to go to Header in the customizer and remove all the text from the “Site Title” field.

I had done that originally but I was worried that it would change how my website was searched…..Thanks so much for your help though!

@hillsandbridges, search engines definitely like to see site titles, so my suggestion would be to either keep it or switch to a theme that allows you to hide the site title text. Manifest does not have that option.
