Manifest Theme Images/Search Box

Oh I love this new theme very much & I would like to use it. I’ve been hoping for a very clean minimalist type theme to use for my photoblog. However after giving it a trial run I’ve found two aspects that I’m wondering if they can be altered before I switch over.

    1) Upon clicking a blog post, can the image be much larger? I would like it to be a 700px width. Is that possible? As it is now, the default image size is entirely too small to use as a blog post itself.
    2) How can I lose the search box in the bottom footer that seems to be part of the theme itself? It’s not showing in the widgets that I’ve added so I can’t see where to delete it.

    P.s. I’m using a free wordpress account so I can’t customize it myself :(

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We cannot change the maximum displayed image width of any theme nor the space defined for the blogging column on pages or posts, or the footer without (1) css editing experience and (3) an annually renewable custom design upgrade. That’s assuming they are not coded into the template as if they are then we can’t change them.
