Manipulate Image and Gallery location within text?

I am having difficulty moving images and galleries within the body of text of my posts. For example, two of my posts are Image, Gallery, Text and one is Gallery, Text, Image. What I want to do is have Image, Text, Gallery. Is this even possible to do? I’ve been using both the text and visual modes of the editor but haven’t had success moving images and galleries. I’m not even sure why in the one post the image appeared at the end of my text as opposed to the two other posts where the image precedes the text. Location of cursor at time of insertion, perhaps?

As far as moving things around after you’ve inserted media into your post or page, far better to first place your cursor where you want either to appear and then click the “Add Media” button. If you want to re-position, you can click the red remove button that appears on the image and then insert it again.

It is possible to cut and paste the media (both image and gallery) from where it was inserted in the post on the Editor’s Text tab, but if you miss a bit of the code, it could get messy.

That’s what I thought the case may be. I had tried to move the images by cut and pasting the code but had problems with missed bits of code, and yeah it got messy.

In the future, I’ll be more conscious of the location of the cursor. Thank you for your input, it is most helpful!
