manually entering paragrpahs

I write in Word and paste in WordPress because 1) I have a back up and 2) I can’t type! But my text pastes in with no par. so I have to go in every time and do hard returns! Is there a way to fix this? the text goes in the same font and style in which I typed it but it loses the par.

Are you using the Paste from Word option when you paste into WordPress? Please see the two threads in the below in response to someone with a similar problem. You might also consider using Windows Live Writer or another blog-specific editor; you’ll have the backup but won’t have the frequent glitches because of Word.

Also, what browser and version are you using? Safari is not fully supported in the TinyMCE visual rich editor and for whatever reason strips out the extra line between paragraphs (it has other problems as well). -
