Why are some of my oldest posts from 2012 missing? Between Sept 2012 and April 2013, other than my initial post, appear to be missing. All of my posts are private.

We Volunteers cannot view your blog. Staff can view private blogs and that is why I tagged this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

The good news is all of your posts are still safe and sound on your blog.
The problem is your archives widget only displays the months where you have at least one post that is published without being marked private. So in order to get the missing months to display, you need to uncheck the “private” box in at least one post in each month.
Here’s the list of all your private posts (the link will only work for you)

Just pick one post in each missing month, hover over the title and click “Quit Edit.” Then uncheck the “private” box.
Once you’re done, your archive list will let you access all your posts.
Note: since you have your whole site set to private, there is no need to set the individual posts to private as well. If you refrain from checking the private box in the future, you won’t have to worry about future months not showing up in the widget.
