Many Problems

    I am becoming beyond frustrated with what I was hoping to be a user-friendly template. I purchased the Premium Upgrade, have searched support had a number of people look at it here and they can’t resolve the issues either. Here are my questions, I’m desperate … many thanks for your help! Amanda

    1. Blog URL keeps displaying as “bissinertations.wordpress.com, despite the fact that I have changed it in many places. It should be “bissingersjoyofchocolate.com
    2. Menu category “Recipe” doesn’t work
    3. Can’t find the pinterst icon widget … even though I set it up in the sharing settings, it doesn’t display on the home page
    4. Can’t get rid of the black bar on the featured picture at the top right below the menu
    5. Having trouble adding a second featured item, doesn’t display correctly and gets rid of the picture that is currently up
    6. How do I get rid of the words “uncategorized” above the post title names

    I’m happy to help you work this out!

    1. Blog URL keeps displaying as “bissinertations.wordpress.com, despite the fact that I have changed it in many places. It should be “bissingersjoyofchocolate.com

    It appears your custom domain, bissingersjoyofchocolate.com, is working properly. You will still see the WordPress.com address when viewing your Dashboard, but other users who visit
    bissertations.wordpress.com should be automatically redirected to bissingersjoyofchocolate.com

    2. Menu category “Recipe” doesn’t work

    It looks like this was bugged — I went to Appearance -> Menus and removed the old “Recipes” category menu item, then re-added it, and it appears to be working now! Let me know if you’re still having problems with it.

    3. Can’t find the pinterst icon widget … even though I set it up in the sharing settings, it doesn’t display on the home page

    I’m seeing the Pinterest sharing icon on single posts, like this one:

    Sharing icons are not visible on the front page because the Delicious Magazine theme uses post excerpts; users have to click to read the full post before they can share it.

    4. Can’t get rid of the black bar on the featured picture at the top right below the menu

    This is odd — I’m seeing the same problem. I think it might be resolved by adding more featured posts to the home page, though. Can you try that, and we’ll see if it helps?

    Which brings me to…

    5. Having trouble adding a second featured item, doesn’t display correctly and gets rid of the picture that is currently up

    You can do this by creating a new Post, setting a Featured Image that is at least 652×290 pixels in size, and adding the tag “featured”. Any posts tagged “featured” will appear in the featured content area.

    6. How do I get rid of the words “uncategorized” above the post title names

    You can do this by adding Categories to your posts, and unchecking the Uncategorized box when you edit the posts. You can read more about working with Categories here:
