Many things not working, can't register, no support

I’m just learning how to use WordPress and I can’t get Categories, Pages, the “more” function, Blogrolls, Links, or Comments to work. Tried clearing cookies, cache, changing theme, switching to Firefox. NOTHING works. I’ve tried to register but not receiving an email response and can’t access the forums. This is just TOO MANY problems to ever consider upgrading!!! So frustrating :(

Yes, you CAN access the forums, clearly.
The reason you can’t most any of those things to work is, you have no content. You can’t have comments if you have no posts or pages. You can’t have categories if you have no posts.
As for the Links, what difficulty are you having with it? Be as specific as possible and let us know what browser and version you’re using?
Do not buy any upgrades until you have at least three posts, because until that point you don’t know how it works and if it’s worth continuing with.

Let’s try this again. I had a response to my last post but can’t log in to reply because WordPress has failed to send me an email in response to registering, trying to register again doesn’t work because I already exist. I’ve tried to recover the password several times, but again don’t get an email. Seriously, it’s ridiculously poor support!

I tried publishing a test page to see if the problem is that I’m not live yet and that doesn’t work.
To be more specific, if I create a post it appears in preview beautifully, pictures, embedded video and all. Great! If I create a page it doesn’t appear in preview anywhere. If I create a comment it doesn’t appear in preview anywhere. If I create a category it doesn’t appear in preview under “categories” (or anywhere else). Et cetera! Um, why???
No, I certainly wouldn’t upgrade if the problems are this plentiful and support is this weak :(

Ha ha! Okay! It’s telling me to log in, rejecting my login, then posting the comment in the same chain if I reply via my email “reply” button. Interesting. At least it’s working now.
Anyone know why comments etc. won’t preview? Any hints?

Just upgraded my Flash and everything I publish privately is now showing up in preview (no drafts previewing tho). Hope this helps someone :)

Hi raincoaster, I’ve published them privately but don’t want them public while I’m testing the waters. Does that make a difference? It’s just gibberish at this point, so don’t want to share.
I did manage to get a comment to appear but still can’t get my new pages or categories to appear. Clearing cookies and the cache + upgrading Flash has really helped things run much more smoothly, but still not getting the content showing up. Any other suggestion?

You’re welcome. Preview is limited and does not give you a realistic picture of the way the blog works.
