Many WordPress IPs obtained via subpoena
-
I just posted WordPress Infrastructure Subpoena on my blog.
I have a file with hundreds of IP addresses used by a Twitter account which was obtained via subpoena. There are twenty addresses in there which have wordpress.com forward/reverse DNS entries or which live in AS2635, which belongs to WP parent company Automattic.
Automattic charges $125/hour for subpoena response, I am trying to get a better understanding of what all this stuff is. I suspect I am seeing some load balancer infrastructure, and maybe some Twitter related services that host their domains on WordPress.
Knowing what these reverse lookups mean would be helpful. This is … web load balancers in San Antonio? And what is ‘db19’?
web28.sat.wordpress.com
web84.sat.wordpress.com
web60.sat.wordpress.com
db19.sat.wordpress.comI can’t be the first to ever face this, if anyone can think of a prior lawsuit where there was extensive discovery tell me who and when, I’ll get the details out of PACER.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
