map a domain

  Hi!

  I own a domain name (www.kellytales.com) and I am trying to map it in WordPress, but I don’t understand why I can’t. Could you please help me?

  I am getting a message that my site already exists.

  In fact I am a bit confused. WordPress can’t serve as a host? Do I need to get a hosting package on another site and then use WordPress?

  If you already own kellytales.com then it is already hosted some where else. You will leave kellytales.com with it’s current host, and map the domain to WordPress.com. So, each year, on it’s expiration date, you are going to need to renew your domain, kellytales.com with your host, and also renew your Domain Mapping with WordPress.com.
