    Hi WP community,

I have a blog with a free plan and I’m trying, accorded to https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-subdomain/ , to map a subdomain that I own to this blog and pay $13/year.
    Following the instructions:
    1) Once the CNAME record has been added and verified, go to Domains.
    2) Select your site (example.wordpress.com) and click Add Domain.
    3) Look for “Already own a domain?” Map it. Enter your subdomain.yourgroovydomain.com and add it. You will be prompted to pay for the upgrade and complete the mapping process.

I reach a checkout page where I have to pay not only the $13 for mapping my subdomain, but the entire premium plan. ($99/y)

Is this normal? Reading the article it doesn’t seems to me that I need to have a premium plan to enable this feature for $13/y.

    Any comment will be appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Stefano
