Map a domain from old wp to new wp

  Hi

  In my old wp (motoringbn.wordpress.com), I had a domain (www.motoring.com) mapped on to it. When deleting the old domain, I thought the mapping would also be deleted. So I tried mapping it to my new wp (motoringpublish.wordpress.com) but it says “The domain name you entered is already mapped to a WordPress.com blog.”. Going through the forum, I notice that there is nothing I can do but only ask the Support team for it to be “moved”.

  Tagging this thread for staff assistance, and yes they can help with changing the mapping.

  For domain mapping to work, your domain’s name servers will also have to be changed to those of WordPress.com’s. Motoring.com is currently pointed elsewhere.

  Hi there,

  I see you had two domain mapping upgrades linked to that old site — I moved both of those upgrades to your site motoringpublish.wordpress.com so you can continue using and managing them there.

  You’ll see both upgrades on your My Upgrades page, and you can manage the domains from your My Domains page.

  Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)
