Map a domain problem

  • Unknown's avatar

    I’m trying to Map a Domain name I already own – eaglehawkneck.org
After reviewing my information in Paypal and pressing “agree and continue” –
(the page says “Your almost done. You will confirm your payment on WordPress.com.”)
I’m redirected to the Store → My Domains page, but my domain isn’t showing up, nor is a transaction on PayPal and no email received.
I’ve tried several times on both Firefox and Internet Explorer.
    Cheers.

I am having the exact same problem. Hopefully someone can assist in this matter.

@motivitypictures – what is the URL of the WordPress.COM blog you want to domain map? You need a WordPress.COM blog to buy domain mapping

Yes I have one..I decided to use a credit card instead and it worked perfectly. It’s your paypal that isn’t working correctly.

Tried paypal payment again with no luck, I ended up using my credit card too.

Problems not really resolved though for those that want to use paypal.

I see a domain mapping upgrade for eaglehawkneck.org. Is this the upgrade you were wanting to purchase? If so, it looks like the purchase went through, and you have the domain set up as your primary domain. Since it was just mapped to your WordPress.com site, it could take up to 72 hours for your domain to update across the internet and work for all visitors. If you are still having trouble with it by the weekend, please let us know.

Hi Jakiedana, I ended up purchasing the upgrade using my credit card and it is now working fine, however the problem is that payments using PayPal fail.
It could be a problem on PayPal’s end or WordPresses end – please read my original post for details.

    Cheers.

Sorry about that, I didn’t realize what you meant.

I’ve tested it on my end and I think I’ve reproduced the issue. I’ll let our developers know. Thanks for the heads up!
