Map domain and transfer site

  Hi!

  I created a site for a community group years ago: todmordenunitarianchurch.wordpress.com

  I’d now like to do two things:

  1. Most urgently, the domain. Until last week, todmordenunitarianchurch.org.uk was mapped to this site. I was on holiday when the renewal emails arrived so missed the deadline, and now it won’t let me add the domain, because it was ‘recently in use by someone else’. That was us! Please could I get this domain mapping back?

  2. I’d like to transfer the entire site – billing and all – to a member of the group. I’ve asked a member to set up a WordPress account.

  I’m happy to pay for the mapping myself this time to get the domain up and running again – the transfer can happen afterwards.

  I was able to add domain mapping for todmordenunitarianchurch.org.uk back to your account. It can renewed from your Manage Purchases page:

  https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/

  todmordenunitarianchurch.wordpress.com is owned by admintuc — only they will be able to transfer site ownership to someone else.

  However, I can help you transfer the upgrade to another user of the site. Who would you like to transfer it to? I will also need to contact them to confirm they are happy to take ownership.

  Great that the domain is reinstated. If we can transfer the domain purchase to the admintuc account, that would be ideal, save me doing it and claiming it back from them.

  I’ve contacted them to let them know about this. Please do go ahead and contact them yourself so as to transfer responsibility for payments.

  Another admin on the site is marylastfling – this is the person I contacted, so it would be best if you contacted her regarding taking on payments.

  Apologies for all the replies. I have paid the renewal fee this time to avoid any issues. But we would still like to transfer the domain responsibility to marylastfling.
