  Hi there- I will purchase my own domain name and wish to use it for my existing WordPress blog. Must I upgrade my WordPress plan to do so, or can I do it for free? Thanks

  Hi there!

  Yes, you need a paid plan to be able to use a custom domain. Mapping a domain is free with any of the plans.

  Thank you – do you have any discount codes for the paid plans? There used to be a blogger- plan, correct? I will be using the site for personal use only (not business) . Thanks!

  I’m going to email you a coupon code as well. That can be applied at the check out screen.

  Once the plan has been added you’ll be able to map the domain by clicking on My Sites – Manage – Domains – Add New – Map it
