map domain name for free?

    Hi, I’m jake. 10 years old. I started a blog yesterday t owrite about my new york city adventures. Web name: https://jakesadventures.home.blog .My website name is toolong and none of my friends can remember it. So, with my dad’s help, I bough a shorter name on Go Daddy. jakeadventure.com I want to make that my new blog name, but says i have to pay $96/ year to do that. Is there a free or cheaper way? Please help. – jake

    The domain registered with GoDaddy can be connected to WordPress.com with domain mapping. You asked about a free way to do it but this upgrade is only available through paid plans.

    If you choose a plan first and then add the domain mapping option to the cart, any plan can be chosen (not just Premium).

    You mentioned being 10 so I just wanted to point out that we do have a minimum age for using WordPress.com, and that is 13 (see Minimum Age Requirements):
